Questions
Plain answers.
These are the questions people ask before trusting Check Back Tonight to keep an eye out for them.
Is this an emergency service?
No. Check Back Tonight is not an emergency service and does not contact 911. It lets the people you chose know if you don't check back. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Are you tracking my location?
No constant tracking. Check Back Tonight watches a timer you set, not your every move. You decide what context to share, and with whom.
What happens if I forget to check back?
If your check-back time passes and you haven't checked in, we let the people you chose know, with the details you set up. You choose that list, and you can change it anytime.
Will you text me?
Only if you opt in, and only for check-in reminders, missed check-in alerts, and service notifications. Message frequency may vary, but will usually be no more than 4 messages per month. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for help.
Who can pay for it?
A parent, partner, or friend can help cover a subscription. Paying for someone's plan doesn't make the payer a tracker or a contact. Safety visibility stays with the people you choose.
